Lyrics
O LORD, how long shall I cry and you will not hear I cry out to you of violence but you will not save
Why do you show me iniquity and cause me to behold perverseness For destruction and violence are before me There is strife, and contention rises up Therefore the law is slacked and justice never goes forth
For the wicked surround the righteous Therefore justice goes forth perverted
Behold you among the nations and look You marvel marvellously, for I am working a work in your days
Which you will not believe though it be told you For behold, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation Which march through the breadth of the earth
They are terrible and dreadful, their justice and dignity proceed from themselves Are they not all of them mightier than we Their horses also are swifter than leopards
Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God My Holy One, we shall not die O LORD, you have ordained them for judgment
O LORD, why do you make me see iniquity And cause me to behold perverseness For destruction and violence are before me And there is strife and contention rises up
