Lyrics

Come, let us return to the LORD He has torn, and he will heal us He has struck, and he will bind us up

After two days he will revive us On the third day he will raise us up That we may live before him Let us know, let us press on to know the LORD

His going out is sure as the dawn He will come to us like the rain Like the latter rain that waters the earth Your goodness is like the dew of the morning

But what shall I do with you, O Ephraim What shall I do with you, O Judah Your goodness is like a morning cloud It passes away early

Therefore I have cut them in pieces By the prophets I have slain them My judgment has gone out like light I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice

The knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings But like Adam they have broken the covenant There they dealt faithlessly with me

Gilead is a city of workers of iniquity Tracked with blood As priests lie in wait for a man So the company of priests commits murder

On the way to Shechem they commit lewdness I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel Ephraim is defiled, Israel is unclean

When I would restore the fortunes of my people When I would heal Israel The iniquity of Ephraim is revealed
