Lyrics
Hear, you heads of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel
Is it not for you to know justice You who hate the good and love the evil Who tear off their skin from off them And their flesh from off their bones
Who also eat the flesh of my people And flay their skin from off them And break their bones in pieces As for a pot and as flesh within a caldron
Then shall they cry to the LORD But he will not hear them He will hide his face from them at that time
The prophets who make my people go astray If one feeds them, they say, Peace If one doesn’t feed their mouths, they prepare war against him
Therefore night shall be to you, no vision Darkness to you, no divining The sun shall go down on the prophets The day shall be dark over them
Then shall the seers be ashamed The diviners confounded They shall all cover their lips For there is no answer from God
But as for me, I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD Full of justice and of strength To declare to Jacob his transgression
