Nahshon was a prince of Judah who led the tribe in the wilderness after the exodus and was the first to present an offering at the dedication of the tabernacle. He married Elisheba, sister of Aaron, and became an ancestor of King David and ultimately of Jesus. His name appears in both the genealogies and the detailed records of the desert wandering.
